Q: How does my team get into
the State Cup?
A: Send in the State Cup application by the November 1st, 2006 deadline (for
U19 the deadline is April 2nd, 2007).
Q: How much is it?
A: $500 entry fee.
Q: Who do I make the check out
to?
A: CYSA or California Youth Soccer Association
Q: Does it have to be a league
check?
A: No, it can be a personal check, league check, money order or cashiers
check.
Q: Can I use a credit card?
A: Yes. Visa or Mastercard accepted. No Debit Cards!
Q: Do I need to send the
application to my district or straight to CYSA?
A: Yes, the application goes straight to CYSA (the address is on the
application).
Q: When will I find out if I am
in the Cup?
A: All applications that have been received by the CYSA Office and are
complete will be posted on the CYSA website under
applications received. As long as your application was received by
the deadline, is complete, and the check doesn't come back as insufficient
funds, your team will be playing in the Cup.
Q: Where will my team be
playing?
A: Games are held all over Northern California (between Hanford/Lemoore
area to the Oregon border). You will find out your schedule about two weeks
after the draw for your age group.
Q: When is the last day I can
add/transfer a player onto my team?
A: 14 days prior to the originally scheduled date for the start of State
Cup Competition in your particular age/gender group.
Q: Can a team or player play in
both the Association Cup and the State Cup (or even the American Cup)?
A: A team or player may play in only one (1) state competition (i.e. a team
or player may not play in State Cup and Association Cup) within the same
current seasonal year. Any player on a frozen roster is considered to have
participated in cup play.
